What is the minimum age to become a pilot?

The minimum age requirement for a SPL (Student Pilot License) is 15 years and for a PPL (Private Pilot License) is 17 years.

What medical requirements do I need?

You must qualify for a Class 4 SACAA Medical for your NPL, Class 2 for a PPL, or a Class I medical for a Commercial or higher Pilot License.

How much does a medical cost?

Applicable Aviation Medical Examiners fees apply — request these from the specific medical centre. Approved examiners are listed on the SACAA website.
